Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the Adria Science website and E-shop, customer accounts, orders, payment, shipment, product information, and related communications.

By creating an account, placing an order, joining a waiting list, submitting a form, or otherwise using the E-shop, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and the related policy pages: Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Shipping Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy, and Legal Notice.

2. Definitions

• Company means Adria Science, Slovenia, operating the Adria Science website and E-shop at adriascience.com.
• Customer means the person or entity placing an order or using the E-shop.
• E-shop means the Adria Science online store and related website pages.
• Goods means products supplied through the E-shop.
• Order means a purchase request submitted through the E-shop or another method accepted by the Company.
• Policies means these Terms and the Privacy, Cookie, Shipping, Returns and Refunds, Legal Notice, and other published policy pages.

3. Research-Use-Only Status

Goods are supplied only for lawful scientific, laboratory, analytical, educational, or research and development purposes where permitted by applicable law.

Goods are not intended for human consumption, animal consumption, administration, application, diagnosis, therapy, treatment, prevention of disease, cosmetic use, veterinary use, food use, supplement use, or similar end use. They are not sold as medicines, medical devices, foods, food supplements, cosmetics, veterinary products, or products intended for human or animal use.

Product names, product descriptions, scientific references, concentration information, technical notes, calculators, and documentation are provided for lawful research and laboratory planning context only. They must not be interpreted as medical, veterinary, dietary, cosmetic, or treatment advice.

4. Customer Status and Responsibilities

By ordering, the Customer confirms that they are at least 18 years old, have legal capacity, are not purchasing for a prohibited end use, and will comply with all laws applicable to purchase, import, export, possession, storage, handling, transport, resale, and use of the Goods.

The Customer is solely responsible for checking whether the Goods may lawfully be purchased, imported, received, possessed, stored, used, or transferred in the destination country or region. The Company may refuse, suspend, or cancel an order where legal, safety, customs, sanctions, payment, fraud, compliance, or product-integrity concerns arise.

5. Accounts and Information Accuracy

The Customer must provide complete, accurate, and current account, billing, shipping, and contact information. The Company may suspend or restrict accounts or orders connected with inaccurate details, suspected misuse, duplicate abuse, chargeback risk, policy breach, or unlawful activity.

6. Orders and Acceptance

Products shown in the E-shop are invitations to order, not binding offers. An order is accepted only when the Company confirms it, starts fulfillment, dispatches the Goods, or otherwise clearly accepts the order.

The Company may request additional information before accepting or fulfilling an order, including identity, business, destination, payment, compliance, or intended-use confirmation where appropriate.

7. Prices, Currency, Promotions, and Payment

Prices are shown at checkout in the selected storefront currency where available. Internal accounting, affiliate commission tracking, and payment reporting may be normalized to EUR. Currency conversion rates may change and may differ from rates used by banks, payment providers, or card issuers.

Discounts, coupons, store credit, partner codes, and promotional offers may be limited by product, customer, order value, stock status, time period, country, or other conditions. The Company may correct obvious pricing or coupon errors and may refuse abusive or incompatible coupon use.

Payment must be completed through an accepted payment method. Orders may be held, delayed, or cancelled if payment is not completed, verification fails, or risk checks require review.

8. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping is governed by the Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly confirmed in writing as binding. Shipments may be fulfilled from available operational stock in Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, or other European fulfillment locations depending on product availability and logistics routing.

The Customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, accepting delivery, cooperating with the carrier, and completing any destination-country requirements.

9. Returns, Complaints, and Refunds

Returns, complaints, damaged goods, incorrect goods, failed delivery, and refund requests are governed by the Returns and Refunds Policy. General discretionary returns are not accepted unless required by applicable law or expressly approved by the Company.

10. COA and Documentation

Where available, Certificates of Analysis, batch information, and analytical documentation are published through the COA Library or may be requested through the Contact page. Documentation is batch-related where applicable and should be reviewed before any lawful research workflow is planned.

11. Website Content

Website content is provided for general product, ordering, laboratory, documentation, and compliance context. The Company aims to keep information accurate and current, but does not guarantee that every page is error-free, complete, or available at all times.

12. Intellectual Property

All website content, design, branding, product images, text, graphics, logos, documentation layout, and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. They may not be copied, scraped, republished, modified, or used commercially without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

13. Partner, Affiliate, and Referral Activity

Partner and affiliate activity is subject to the separate Partner Program Terms and any rules shown in the Partner Portal. Partners must not make medical, veterinary, cosmetic, dosing, human-use, animal-use, treatment, cure, or outcome claims in connection with Adria Science links, codes, or materials.

14. Privacy and Cookies

Personal data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. Cookies and similar technologies are described in the Cookie Policy. Non-essential analytics and advertising technologies are used only where consent is granted or otherwise permitted by applicable law.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, special, or business-loss damages, including loss of profit, lost opportunity, customs refusal, carrier delay, unlawful destination use, or misuse of Goods. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

16. Force Majeure

The Company is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside reasonable control, including carrier disruption, customs delays, regulatory action, payment-provider issues, supply interruption, system outages, cyber incidents, strikes, natural events, war, sanctions, or public authority action.

17. Changes to Terms

The Company may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is published on this page with the effective date above.
