SKU: ADRIA-5-AMINO-1MQ Category: Tag:

5-amino-1MQ, commonly used as shorthand for 5-amino-1-methylquinolinium, is a small-molecule quinolinium research compound rather than a peptide. Laboratory literature discusses this compound class in relation to nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) inhibition models, nicotinamide metabolism, methylation pathway research, NAD+-adjacent biochemical systems, and cellular metabolism assays.

Because commercial 5-amino-1MQ materials may be supplied as different salt forms, the batch COA should be used as the source of truth for exact salt, purity, formula, and molecular weight. The product is positioned strictly for lawful laboratory and analytical work.

This product is supplied strictly for lawful research, laboratory, analytical, educational, or R&D purposes where permitted by applicable law. It is not intended for human or animal use.

Storage of Lyophilized Peptides

Upon receiving the lyophilized peptide, store it at 4 °C or colder and away from bright light. Lyophilized peptides are stable at room temperature for weeks, but for longer-term storage, it is safer to store them at -20 °C or colder. Exposure to moisture can greatly decrease long-term stability. Before opening a container stored in cold conditions, allow it to equilibrate to room temperature first to reduce moisture uptake from the surrounding atmosphere.

Peptides in Transport

Peptides in lyophilized form are supplied in glass vials by standard shipping methods and do not require refrigeration. Short-term temperature fluctuations during transport do not reduce their quality or stability. Even at high summer temperatures, peptides in lyophilized form remain stable for several weeks.

Storage of Peptide Solutions

The shelf life of peptide solutions is limited. Freezing aliquots can help prolong storage life. In general, peptide solutions are commonly stored for around 3 or more weeks at +4 °C and around 3-4 months at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as this can degrade peptides.
